I offer Bespoke Research which can be specific research requests, at £25 per hour. You tell me the record you would like me to look at and I can do the research. If you are not sure which record, I can suggest the ones to view using the online catalogue or while at the archives. I can begin researching your family tree and you can suggest an end point according to your budget, so you’re in control. For example, we could agree for 4 hours work and then review the results so far before stopping or continuing as you see fit.

A Starter Package at £70. Let me see what I can find out for you starting with a chosen ancestor. The research is around this ancestor so their parents and siblings. This package includes a written research report and a bespoke family tree. Please contact me for a sample. This is a great package to get you started, to see how I work and to consider whether you wish to take things further with your family research. It also makes a great, affordable gift. I can present this in a smart Family Tree binder which is available in 4 beautiful colours, if desired, extra charges apply.

I offer a free consultation to discuss your goals and requirements. Included in this I verify that your project is feasible and will yield results for the packages. Bespoke work may not yield such desired results but any negative results will be recorded in the research report, essentially ruling out certain lines of enquiry.
I start the process from your chosen ancestor and use a methodical approach to research your family backwards to discover your family history and create your family tree.
I use the historical records that are available online first and then progress to the record office, library or archives if necessary.
Using the records found I create your bespoke family tree showing family connections and ancestors.
I focus on your direct line but also include each couple's children and their spouses in each generation, where possible in the given timeframe.
I carefully analyse census returns, birth, baptism, marriage, death and burial records to construct your family tree and record your family history.
I draw connections between documents to verify your genealogical line.
I give attention to detail to create your bespoke family tree and provide a detailed report on your family history.

I can start with your existing family tree and research, moving backwards in time. I can delve into the records at the archives to see if we go further back and break down those brickwalls.

Book or Binder
Most research reports are sent by email, however, if you wish to have your family research presented in a different format there are 2 possible solutions. I can produce the illustrated reports in a beautiful binder entitled ‘Family History’ or I can arrange to get it professionally printed into a bound book. This would serve as a family heirloom to share with family and preserve for generations to come.

Final Family History Delivery
Once the research is complete I will write you a fully comprehensive report on the results showing you your family history, where your ancestors are in historical records and revealing your family tree. I can either write this going back in time or start with your more distant relative and come up to date, the choice is yours.

Accuracy is dependent on the historical documents and sources of information found, as the information is taken from these. Any uncertainties or discrepancies will be explained in the final report.

The use of personal data is set out in my Privacy Policy and is held for a duration of 5 years for the purpose of processing the research, report or book.
